Background: Real-time reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) is a powerful tool for analysing target gene expression in biological samples. To achieve reliable results by RT-qPCR, the most stable reference genes must be selected for proper data normalisation, particularly when comparing cells of different types. We aimed to choose the least variable candidate reference genes among eight housekeeping genes tested within a set of human cancer cell lines (HeLa, MCF-7, SK-UT-1B, A549, A431, SK-BR-3), as well as four lines of normal, non-malignant mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) of different origins.

Background/aim: Lung cancer, a predominant contributor to cancer mortality, is characterized by diverse etiological factors, including tobacco smoking and genetic susceptibilities. Despite advancements, particularly in nonsmall-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), therapeutic options for lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) are limited. Transposable elements (TEs) and their regulatory proteins, such as tigger transposable element derived (TIGD) family proteins, have been implicated in cancer development.

Objective(s): Some forms of breast cancer such as triple-negative phenotype, are serious challenge because of high metastatic cases, high mortality and resistance to conventional therapy motivated the search for alternative treatment approaches. Nanomaterials are promising candidates and suitable alternatives for improving tumor and cancer cell treatments.

Materials And Methods: Biosynthesis of ZnO NPs by help of Berberis integerrima fruit extract, has been done.

A network pharmacology approach was used to construct comprehensive pharmacological networks, elucidating the interactions between agarwood compounds and key biological targets associated with cancer pathways. We have employed a combination of network pharmacology, molecular docking and molecular dynamics to unravel agarwood plants' active components and potential mechanisms. Reported 23 molecules were collected from the agarwood plants and considered to identify molecular targets.

Background: As a master immune system regulator, transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1) is closely linked to the complicated pathophysiology and development of systemic sclerosis (SSc), a multisystem fibrotic disease.

Objective: We aim to evaluate the transcriptional levels of TGF-β1 mRNA in PBMCs, assess the TGF-β1 serum levels of SSc patients, and compare them with those of healthy subjects.

Methods: PBMCs were isolated from whole blood of 50 SSc patients and in 30 healthy controls.
