Osteoarthritis (OA) is a condition that affects the quality of life of millions of patients worldwide. Current clinical treatments, in most cases, lead to cartilage repair with deposition of fibrocartilage tissue, which is mechanically inferior and not as durable as hyaline cartilage tissue. We designed an mRNA delivery strategy to enhance the natural healing potential of autologous bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) for articular cartilage repair.

The gold standard of auricular reconstruction involves manual graft assembly from autologous costal cartilage. The intervention may require multiple surgical procedures and lead to donor-site morbidity, while the outcome is highly dependent on individual surgical skills. A tissue engineering approach provides the means to produce cartilage grafts of a defined shape from autologous chondrocytes.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remains challenging to treat, which in part relates to genetic heterogeneity of the disease, to the protective tumor microenvironment driving resistance to therapy, and also to immune evasion characteristics of leukemic cells. Targeting epigenetic programs in AML provides an attractive opportunity to impair long-term proliferation and induce differentiation. The novel inhibitor JNJ- 75276617 (bleximenib) targets the menin-KMT2A interaction and provides preclinical efficacy in AML (Kwon et al1).

Meniscal injuries are a common occurrence in sports-related activities, often leading to pain, reduced joint function, and impaired athletic performance. This study aimed to evaluate the role of ultrasound-guided intra-articular platelet-rich plasma (PRP)-rich fluid injection which was obtained through serial centrifugation in the treatment of meniscal injuries resulting from sports activities. A prospective study was conducted involving 54 cases with grade I, II, and III meniscal injuries, aged 18 and 43 years.
