The short half-life of Bi and Bi limits the application of these radionuclides in α radionuclide therapy. The labeling of biomolecules with Pb (mother nuclide of Bi) instead of Bi or Bi has the advantage of obtaining a conjugate with a half-life of 10.6 h, compared with of 60 min for Bi or 46 min for Bi. Previous attempts to prepare a potential in vivo generator with Pb complexed by the DOTA chelator failed, because about 36 % of Bi was reported to escape as a result of the radioactive decay [Formula: see text]. Herein, we report studies on the stability of the Pb complexes with eight selected polydentate ligands, which demonstrate high affinity for 3+ metal cations. From the ligand studied DOTP and BAPTA show a sufficient Pb labeling yields but only Pb-DOTP complex is stable in isotonic solution of sodium chloride making this way radioactivity level of released Bi is below the limit of detection. It should be emphasized that the DOTP complex is stable only in the case when the concentration of free DOTP exceeds 10 M.

The aircraft can experience complex environments during the flight. For the random actions, the traditional Gaussian white noise assumption may not be sufficient to depict the realistic stochastic loads on the wing structures. Considering fluctuations with extreme conditions, Lévy noise is a better candidate describing the stochastic dynamical behaviors on the airfoil models.

γ-Glutamylcysteine (γ-EC) can increase intracellular glutathione (GSH) levels, which may prevent and alleviate age-related disorders and chronic diseases caused by oxidative damage. However, the commercial availability of γ-EC remains limited owing to its complex chemical synthesis from glutamate and cysteine. In this study, we have developed the method of the effective conversion of GSH to γ-EC to achieve the optimal reaction conditions for repeated batch production and potential application in industrial γ-EC production using the phytochelatin synthase-like enzyme NsPCS.

Marine biofouling and corrosion have become the main problems affecting the development of the marine industry. Silicone-based coatings have been widely used for antifouling and anticorrosion due to their low surface energy. However, the poor adhesion and low mechanical stability of these materials limit their application in complex marine environments.

Purpose: To evaluate the prognostic value of interim [F]Fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography ([F]FDG PET/CT) after immunotherapy-based systemic therapies in extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL).
Patients And Methods: We retrospectively recruited 133 newly diagnosed nasal-type ENKTL patients who underwent interim [F]FDG PET/CT scans after 2-4 cycles of immunotherapy-based treatments. Interim PET/CT was interpreted by maximum standardized uptake value (SUV), Deauville 5-point scale (DS), and early treatment response.

Deciphering the most promising strategy for the evolution of cancer patient management remains a multifaceted, challenging affair to date. Additionally, such approaches often lead to microbial infections as side effects, probably due to the compromised immunity of the patients undergoing such treatment. Distinctly, this work delineates a rational combinatorial strategy harnessing stereogenic harmony in the diphenylalanine fragment, tethering it to an amphiphile 12-hydroxy-lauric acid at the N-terminus (compounds -) such that a potential therapeutic could be extracted out from the series.
