Aim: To investigate the antioxidant potential of two Allium cepa L. extracts.

Material And Methods: The antioxidant activity of the two extracts (encoded EC1 and EC2) was assessed using two methods: DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) scavenging capacity and determination of their reducing power; phytobiological, studies were performed using grains of Triticum aestivum L., Falmura variety.

Results And Discussions: EC1 and EC2 extracts had a particular affinity for binding DPPH radicals. At equivalent concentrations, the reducing power of EClextract was about 2 times higher compared to EC2, increasing with the concentration of the analyzed sample. The phytobiological study demonstrated that the investigated extracts had no cytotoxic and genotoxic potential.

Enhancement of glycolysis and glutaminolysis are the two most common modalities associated with metabolic reprogramming in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). This enhancement is concomitant to the upregulation of hexokinase 2 (HK2) and glutaminase 1 (GLS1). Hence, the current study was undertaken to identify potential phytobiological inhibitors against HK2 and GLS1, from , an indigenous ethnomedicinal plant found in Pakistan, using computational analysis.

Endophytic fungi including black aspergilli have the potential to synthesize multiple bioactive secondary metabolites. Therefore, the search for active metabolites from endophytic fungi against pathogenic microbes has become a necessity for alternative and promising strategies. In this study, 25 endophytic fungal isolates associated with Malus domestica were isolated, grown, and fermented on a solid rice medium.
