A player can learn many things from playing a game for health. Some of these learnings were deliberately designed for the player to use in his or her real life, outside of any game. The effective ways to enable players to generalize what they learn in the game to their real lives (and thereby benefit from playing the game) are not clear. We have convened a group of expert health game designers and researchers to discuss this important issue.

In 2022, an outbreak of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) killed 60% of the largest breeding colony of Dalmatian pelicans (DPs) in the world at Mikri Prespa Lake (Greece), prompting a multidisciplinary study on HPAI and other pathogens. This study determines the antimicrobial resistance rates of cloacal enterococci and in DPs. Fifty-two blood and cloacal swab samples were collected from 31 nestlings (20 DP/11 great white pelicans) hatched after the H5N1 outbreak at the Prespa colony and 21 subadult/adult DPs captured at a spring migration stopover.

Delay discounting (DD) describes the tendency of individuals to devalue the worth of a reward as a function of the delay in receiving it. DD is impaired in many clinical conditions and changes across development. Many existing automated DD tasks are built on copyrighted software and primarily designed for English speakers, which hinders content editing and accessibility.

Background: The neural mechanisms underlying real-time social interaction remain poorly understood. While hyperscanning has emerged as a popular method to better understand inter-brain mechanisms, inter-brain methods remain underdeveloped, and primarily focused on inter-brain synchronization (IBS).
New Method: We developed a novel approach employing two-brain EEG microstates, to investigate neural mechanisms during symmetric and asymmetric interactive tasks.

This paper presents a synthetic dataset of labeled game situations in recordings of federated handball and basketball matches played in Galicia, Spain. The dataset consists of synthetic data generated from real video frames, including 308,805 labeled handball frames and 56,578 labeled basketball frames extracted from 2105 handball and 383 basketball 5-s video clips. Experts manually labeled the video clips based on the respective sports, while the individual frames were automatically labeled using computer vision and machine learning techniques.

Introduction: Limb massive hemorrhage is the first cause of potentially preventable death in trauma. Its prompt and proper management is crucial to increase the survival rate. To handle a massive hemorrhage, it is important to train people without medical background, who might be the first responders in an emergency.
