There is increased evidence that end-stage renal disease patients, especially the hemodialyzed population, may present various unexpected forms of complications, contributing to a poor prognosis. Furthermore, neuroendocrine tumors, rarely encountered in daily practice, present in dialyzed individuals can significantly exacerbate the inflammatory condition with negative impact on patients' quality of life. We present an unusual case of uterus neuroendocrine tumor with multiple metastases in a 49-year-old female hemodialyzed patient with a history of alcoholic liver cirrhosis and uterus fibromatous. Multiple endoscopic techniques (e.g., upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, upper and lower echoendoscopy), histological evaluation of biopsy samples from involved areas (the operatory piece) were performed in order to complete and refine the diagnosis.

The female reproductive axis is one of the first organ systems to age, which has consequences for fertility and overall health. Here, we provide a comprehensive overview of the biological process of female reproductive aging across reproductive organs, tissues and cells based on research with widely used physiologic aging mouse models, and describe the mechanisms that underpin these phenotypes. Overall, aging is associated with dysregulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis, perturbations of the ovarian stroma, reduced egg quantity and quality, and altered uterine morphology and function that contributes to reduced capacity for fertilization and impaired embryo development.

To investigate the clinicopathological features, prognosis and the expression of HER2 and PD-L1 in invasive stratified mucin-producing carcinoma of the cervix (ISMC). The clinicopathological data of 18 ISMC cases with radical resection of the cervix diagnosed in the Daping Hospital, Army Medical University from January 2018 to December 2023 were collected and retrospectively analyzed. PD-L1 and HER2 immunohistochemical staining and HER2 FISH were conducted.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate SOX17, a transcription factor from the Sry high-mobility group-related box superfamily, as a diagnostic marker to determine site of origin using both whole-tissue sections and tissue microarrays (TMAs).
Methods: SOX17 immunohistochemistry was performed on gynecologic and nongynecologic tissues (N = 1004) using whole-tissue sections and both internally constructed and commercially available TMAs. SOX17 nuclear reactivity was scored as positive or negative on the whole-tissue sections and using the semiquantitative H score method on TMAs.

Background: Celiac disease (CeD) is an autoimmune disorder triggered by the immune response to gluten in genetically predisposed individuals. Recent research has unveiled a heightened risk of developing specific malignant neoplasms (MN) and various malignancies, including gastrointestinal, lymphomas, skin, and others, in individuals with CeD.
Aim: To investigate the prevalence of MN in hospitalized CeD patients in the United States.
