The calibration and traceability of high-resolution frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) ladar sources is a requirement for their use in length and volume metrology. We report the calibration of FMCW ladar length measurement systems by use of spectroscopy of molecular frequency references HCN (C-band) or CO (L-band) to calibrate the chirp rate of the FMCW sources. Propagating the stated uncertainties from the molecular calibrations provided by NIST and measurement errors provide an estimated uncertainty of a few ppm for the FMCW system. As a test of this calibration, a displacement measurement interferometer with a laser wavelength close to that of our FMCW system was built to make comparisons of the relative precision and accuracy. The comparisons performed show <10 ppm agreement, which was within the combined estimated uncertainties of the FMCW system and interferometer.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy of an enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) strategy for upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) patients undergoing laparoscopic radical nephroureterectomy (LRNU).
Methods: 90 patients who received LRNU at Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University between January 2018 and July 2022 were retrospectively analyzed, including 43 in the ERAS group and 47 in the pre-ERAS group. The clinical features, postoperative complications, length of hospital stay (LOS), and hospital expenditures of the two groups were compared via t-test, Mann-Whitney test, and Chi-square test.
The Hybrid-Brain Computer Interface (BCI) has shown improved performance, especially in classifying multi-class data. Two non-invasive BCI modules are combined to achieve an improved classification which are Electroencephalogram (EEG) and functional Near Infra-red Spectroscopy (fNIRS). Classifying contralateral and ipsilateral motor movements is found challenging among the other mental activity signals.

Skin cancer is common and deadly, hence a correct diagnosis at an early age is essential. Effective therapy depends on precise classification of the several skin cancer forms, each with special traits. Because dermoscopy and other sophisticated imaging methods produce detailed lesion images, early detection has been enhanced.

The close genetic resemblance between Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria innocua, combined with their presence in similar environments, poses challenges for species-specific detection in food products. Ensuring food safety through microbiological standards necessitates reliable detection of pathogens like L. monocytogenes and L.

In human neuroscience, machine learning can help reveal lower-dimensional neural representations relevant to subjects' behavior. However, state-of-the-art models typically require large datasets to train, and so are prone to overfitting on human neuroimaging data that often possess few samples but many input dimensions. Here, we capitalized on the fact that the features we seek in human neuroscience are precisely those relevant to subjects' behavior rather than noise or other irrelevant factors.
