The glassy state of inorganic-organic hybrid metal halides combines their excellent optoelectronic properties with the outstanding processability of glass, showcasing unique application potential in solar devices, display technologies, and plastic electronics. Herein, by tailoring the organic cation from -phenylpiperazine to dimethylamine gradually, four types of zero-dimensional antimony halides are obtained with various optical and thermal properties. The guest water molecules in crystal (-phenylpiperazine)SbCl·Cl·5HO lead to the largest distortion of the Sb-halogen unit, resulting in the red emission different from the yellow emission of other compounds.

Biological neural systems seamlessly integrate perception and action, a feat not efficiently replicated in current physically separated designs of neural-imitating electronics. This segregation hinders coordination and functionality within the neuromorphic system. Here, we present a flexible device tailored for neuromorphic computation and muscle actuation.

Iron and manganese are essential nutrients whose transport across membranes is catalyzed by members of the SLC11 family. In humans, this protein family contains two paralogs, the ubiquitously expressed DMT1, which is involved in the uptake and distribution of Fe and Mn, and NRAMP1, which participates in the resistance against infections and nutrient recycling. Despite previous studies contributing to our mechanistic understanding of the family, the structures of human SLC11 proteins and their relationship to functional properties have remained elusive.

Stabilization of  Alkyltin γ-Keggin Clusters by 2, 5-Dihydroxyterephthalate Ligands.

China Three Gorges University, Key Laboratory of Inorganic Nonmetallic Crystalline and Energy Conversion Materials, College of Materials and Chemical Engineering, China Three Gorges University, CHINA.

The Keggin clusters are one kind of the most representative molecular structures in the field of metal-oxo clusters. Although the different types of Keggin clusters with various components were reported, the research about γ-Keggin isomer remains less developed. This is ascribed to the difficulty in obtaining the stable pure γ-Keggin cluster for the structural isomerization.

Action potential-independent spontaneous microdomain Ca transients-mediated continuous neurotransmission regulates hyperalgesia.

Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A

Department of Neurology, the Second Affiliated Hospital, Neuroscience Research Center, Key Laboratory of Biomedical Information Engineering of Ministry of Education, School of Life Science and Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an 710000, China.

Neurotransmitters and neuromodulators can be released via either action potential (AP)-evoked transient or AP-independent continuous neurotransmission. The elevated AP-evoked neurotransmission in the primary sensory neurons plays crucial roles in hyperalgesia. However, whether and how the AP-independent continuous neurotransmission contributes to hyperalgesia remains largely unknown.
