Early T-precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (ETP-ALL/LBL) is a rare and aggressive subtype of T-cell leukemia with poor prognosis and resistance to standard treatments. We report a 21-year-old male with ETP-ALL/LBL who, after an initial complete remission with the HOELZER protocol, experienced early relapse and was refractory to subsequent FLEND and BFM protocols. Following disease progression and complications, he was treated with a combination of daratumumab, venetoclax, azacitidine, and dexamethasone.

Qingdao Institute for Theoretical and Computational Sciences, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Shandong University, Qingdao, Shandong 266237, P.R. China.

Milestoning is an efficient method for calculating rare event kinetics by constructing a continuous-time kinetic network that connects the reactant and product states. Its accuracy depends on both the quality of the underlying force fields and the trajectory sampling. The sampling error can be effectively controlled through various methods.

A spinal epidural hematoma (SEH) is a rare complication of combined spinal epidural anesthesia. The case of a 55-year-old man who underwent orthopedic surgery under combined spinal epidural anesthesia is presented. Flurbiprofen and horse chestnut seed extract that potentially affect coagulation function during the perioperative period were used.

To address the demands of rapidly advancing precision instruments requiring higher efficiency and miniaturization, permanent magnets must exhibit exceptional energy density, temperature stability, high magnetic energy product [()], and adequate coercivity (). Herein, we design rare earth Er-based magnets (2 : 17-type Er-magnets) with a composition of (Er, Sm)(Co, Fe, Cu, Zr). Erbium-based compounds (ErCo) offer a unique combination of temperature compensation and high saturation magnetization compared to other heavy rare earth elements, resulting in 2 : 17-type Er-magnets with superior temperature stability in and ().

Squamomelanocytic Tumor, An Entity Still Shrouded in Mystery: Case Report and Literature Review.

Dermatopathology (Basel)

January 2025

Section of Molecular Pathology, Department of Precision and Regenerative Medicine and Ionian Area (DiMePRe-J), University of Bari "Aldo Moro", 70124 Bari, Italy.

Cutaneous squamomelanocytic tumor (SMT) is a very rare cutaneous malignancy, composed of a dual phenotypic population of both malignant melanocytes and keratinocytes, intimately intermingled together. Herein, we report a new case of a SMT occurring in an 82-year-old man, located on the scalp. Histopathology revealed a mixed population consisting of squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma within the same lesion, also confirmed using immunohistochemical staining for high molecular-weight cytokeratins (HMWCKs) and Melan-A.
