Malignant lymphoma of the cranial vault is a rare entity and the tumor growth patterns are not well understood. Here we report two cases of malignant lymphoma involving the scalp and epidural space with slight changes in the intervening skull. A 63-year-old woman presented with a scalp mass in her right frontal area. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging demonstrated mass lesions in the scalp and epidural space with slight osteolytic changes in the intervening skull. She underwent resection of the lesions. A 53-year-old man presented with a mass in his right frontal area. CT and MR imaging showed mass lesions in the scalp and epidural space without changes in the skull. He underwent resection of the lesions. The histopathological diagnosis was diffuse large B cell lymphoma in both cases. Microscopic examination of the intervening skull found that the bone marrow was diffusely replaced by lymphoma cells, and lymphoma cells extended to the extra- or intra-cranial space along the emissary veins without destruction of the cortical or trabecular bone. These histopathological findings explain the radiological findings and provide the clues to elucidate the mechanism of extension of cranial vault lymphoma.

The position of the mental foramen is reported to change with age. This study aimed to examine age-related changes in the position of the mental foramen in men and women. Among 200 cases (age 21-100 years; 400 foramina) that underwent postmortem computed tomography, 109 (age 21-93 years; 218 foramina) with mandibular first and second premolars were examined using image analysis software to classify the position of the mental foramen according to Fishel's classification, and the χ² test was performed.

Spontaneous epidural hematoma (EDH) is a rare sickle cell disease (SCD) complication. We report 3 pediatric cases with SCD and spontaneous EDH and 1 with subgaleal hematomas in the setting of vaso-occlusive crises and elaborate on their presentation and management. Through a scoping review, we identified 71 additional cases reported from 1970 to 2024 and highlighted notable features.

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC), also known as stress-induced cardiomyopathy, is a rare condition in children that causes acute, severe, but often reversible systolic dysfunction of the left ventricle. Background: The selection guideline for the implant-supported bar connectors (ISBC) of hybrid denture is lacking. This study investigated the maximum von Mises stress (vMS), stress distribution, and displacement of various geometric ISBC in mandibular hybrid dentures, as well as the maximum principal stress (σmax) in the acrylic resin part, through finite element analysis.
Methods: Four different geometric cross-sectional patterns for mandibular ISBC-L, Y, I, and Square-of equal volume, based on the "All-on-4" concept, were created.
