An enantioselective Cu(I)-catalyzed 1,3-halogen migration reaction accomplishes a formal hydrobromination by transferring a bromine activating group from a sp carbon to a benzylic carbon in good and with concomitant borylation of the Ar-Br bond. Computational modelling aids in understanding the reaction outcome and suggests future directions to improve the formal asymmetric hydrobromination. The benzyl bromide can be displaced with a variety of nucleophiles to produce a wide array of functionalized products.

The enantioselective domino Heck/cross-coupling has emerged as a powerful tool in modern chemical synthesis for decades. Despite significant progress in relative rigid skeleton substrates, the implementation of asymmetric Heck/cross-coupling cascades of highly flexible haloalkene substrates remains a challenging and and long-standing goal. Here we report an efficient asymmetric domino Heck/Tsuji-Trost reaction of highly flexible vinylic halides with 1,3-dienes enabled by palladium catalysis.

The extinction burst is an increase in an operant behavior early in the transition to extinction. A matching-law-based quantitative theory suggests that it results from the elimination of competition from reinforcement-related behavior that accompanies the transition to extinction. This experiment examined the effects of reinforcement magnitude on the extinction burst with rats.

Introduction: Intraprofessional collaboration between family physicians (FPs) and specialist physicians (SPs) is posited to improve patient outcomes but is hindered by power dynamics. Research informing intraprofessional training on hospital wards often conceptualizes power at an interactional level. However, less is known about how social structures make these power dynamics possible.

This post-market clinical follow-up (PMCF) study evaluates the clinical effectiveness and safety of the external radio electric reprogramming for atrial fibrillation (EX-RER AF) protocol, a non-invasive regenerative medicine approach utilizing radio electric asymmetric conveyer (REAC) technology for managing paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF). Administered with the REAC BENE mod 110 device (ASMED, Scandicci, Italy), the treatment involves a standardized procedure, with the asymmetric conveyor probe (ACP) positioned in the precordial area and fixed, unmodifiable parameters ensuring consistency and reproducibility. During a 36-month post-market clinical follow-up (PMCF), 20 patients with prior diagnoses of PAF underwent the protocol.
