Background: Dyslipidemia, a leading risk factor for cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), significantly contributes to global morbidity and mortality. Rice bran, rich in bioactive compounds such as γ-oryzanol and tocotrienols, has demonstrated promising lipid-modulating effects.
Objective: This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effects of rice bran on lipid profiles, including triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and identify factors influencing its efficacy across different populations and intervention conditions.

Background/objectives: Diabetes prevalence is high among Arab populations, where cultural practices present barriers to effective glycemic control. Despite guidelines recommending the involvement of dietitians in diabetes management, evidence of the effectiveness of dietitian-involved interventions in these populations remains limited. This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the effectiveness of dietitian-involved lifestyle interventions among Arab populations with prediabetes or diabetes.

Introduction: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) comprises heterogeneous disorders, which have an increase in blood glucose concentrations in common. Metabolic syndrome (MetS) describes the simultaneous occurrence of several clinical symptoms that increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and T2DM, although T2DM itself is also considered a risk factor for developing MetS.
Objective: This study aimed to identify parameters related to rehabilitation success and relevant to MetS in T2DM patients.

South Asians are at higher risk of dyslipidaemia-a modifiable risk factor for cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). We aimed to identify protein targets for dyslipidaemia and CVDs in this population. We used a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach, supplemented with MR-Egger, weighted median, colocalization, and generalized MR (GMR), to evaluate the effect of 2,800 plasma proteins on high/low/non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C/LDL-C/nonHDL-C), total cholesterol, and triglycerides.

Observational studies have shown that the risk of developing herpes zoster (HZ) increases with the use of statins. However, there are many confounding factors in observational studies. Therefore, our Mendelian randomization (MR) study aimed to explore the causal role of lipids in HZ and to assess the causal impact of lipid-lowering drug targets on HZ risk.
