Background: Hyperglycemia is an independent risk factor for perioperative complications and mortality after cardiac surgery. Freestyle Libre Continuous glucose monitor (CGM) is an interstitial glucose monitoring system, which has been proven to be stable and accurate in various disease.
Materials And Methods: 86 patients with hyperglycemia after cardiac surgery between October 2021 and October 2022 in the cardiovascular ICU, were enrolled in this study.

Introduction: Emerging evidence suggests potential cardiovascular toxicities from oral endocrine therapies (ETs); however, results are conflicting. This study comprehensively examined adverse reactions of ETs and investigated cardiovascular and metabolic safety signals within the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS).
Methods: Reports in the FAERS through December 2023 were analyzed for documented reactions to tamoxifen, letrozole, anastrozole, and exemestane in female breast cancer patients.

The combination of the tricyclic antidepressant amitriptyline hydrochloride (AMH) and the non-selective beta-adrenergic blocker propranolol hydrochloride (PPH) is used for migraine prophylaxis. Higher doses of AMH trigger cardiac arrhythmias, anxiety, tachycardia, convulsions, hyperglycemia and anticholinergic side effects. The combined dosage formulation of AMH and PPH leads to drug-drug interactions; causes sedation, xerostomia, dysuria, insomnia and bradycardia; and results in patient non-compliance.

Post-transplantation diabetes mellitus (PTDM) and prediabetes are associated with increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in kidney transplant recipients (KTR), when diagnosed by an oral glucose tolerance test (oGTT). Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) and fasting plasma glucose (FPG) display low concordance with the oGTT in the early phase posttransplant. For this prospective cross-sectional pilot study, 41 KTR from years one to five after transplantation without known preexisting PTDM (defined by HbA1c ≥ 6.
