Radioimmunologic study of thyrotropin and thyroid hormones in the blood of those engaged in fluorine production showed moderate functional changes of the hypophysis-thyroid gland system, not accompanied by clinical manifestations of hypo- or hyperthyreosis and caused by disorders of the regulatory chain and fluorine impact on thyroid hormones' metabolism at the level of target cells. Elevation of calcitonin concentration in workers' blood indicated stimulation of thyroid gland parafollicular cells. Phase states in the hypophysis-thyroid gland system were detected along with the dependence of some hormones' concentration on the duration of workers' contact with fluorine compounds and the stage of fluorosis.

Background: N-Nitrosomorpholine (NMO) is one of the most common N-nitroso compounds. An oncocytic transformation has been demonstrated in renal tubules of NMO-treated rats. In our study, we aimed to investigate the potential transformation of oncocytic cells in 6 endocrine organs, i.

Reproduction is the biological process that sustains life. It is regulated by a neuro-hormonal mechanism that is synchronized by the interaction among the hypothalamus, hypophysis, and ovaries. Ovulation is regulated by the secretion of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), which stimulates the release of the luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).

In the present work, we examined ECRG4 expression and location in a wide range of rat organs and reviewed the available literature. ECRG4 mRNA was identified in all examined tissues by quantitative PCR (qPCR).

Background: A current etiological and pathogenic opinion about human health disturbance thereupon extreme factor effects is shown that this cause is principal mechanism of regulatory system (neuroimmunoendocrine complex) distress. In endocrine link occurs hormonal disbalance in hypothalamus-hypophysis axis, physiological interrelation disturbances in central-peripheral gland system (hypophysis-adrenal, hypophysis-thyroid) and metabolism abnormalities subsequently.
Objective: Our aim was to determine the particular content of adrenocorticotropic and thyrothrophin hormone, cortisol, thyroxin and triiodthyronine features at law order staff in dependence from professional loading.
Thyroid status, copper balance, correlation of processes of peroxide oxidation of lipids (POL), proteins (POP), antioxidant defence (AOD) were examined in experiments on rats with hypofunction of thyroid gland under iodine monodeficit (HTGI) and combined iodine and copper deficit (HTGI+Cu). It was determined that a combined deficit of microelements is accompanied by a distribution of copper content between different tissues (increase in red blood cell mass and cerebrum, decrease in myocardium), essential changes of indexes of hypotalamo-hypophysis-thyroid axis, oxygen-dependent metabolism, antiradical defense, exacerbating the effects of negative influence of each of them on organism. It was established that HTGI+Cu causes a suppression of oxygen-dependent processes.
