A survey and follow-up interviews were conducted to examine multiple perspectives and the influences of reflective activities on students. Introduction: Despite progress in research and technological advancements, the delivery of oral health care continues to be plagued by disparities in accessibility and affordability. Dental caries and periodontal disease remain major issues, and new challenges such as socioeconomic disparities and emerging public health dangers also contribute to the complexity of the issue. To address these challenges, dental education and oral healthcare delivery must shift their focus from disease treatment to disease prevention and health promotion.

Serious alcohol-associated hazards underscore the need to develop new biomarkers reflecting the biological changes caused by chronic alcohol use and predicting the risk of alcohol-related death. Oxidative stress is one mechanism of alcohol toxicity. The blood and urine redox status (total antioxidant capacity [TAC], total oxidative status [TOS], and oxidative stress index [OSI]) was assessed in 105 people who died a sudden death (controls), 47 people who died of alcohol overdose, and 102 people with alcohol dependency.

We present an interesting image of eruptive syringoma confirmed by histopathological assessment in a 37-year-old male who was consulted due to numerous brownish small macules and papules resembling maculopapular cutaneous mastocytosis (MPCM). We show difficulties in diagnosing ES, given its rare occurrence and resemblance to other dermatological disorders. Moreover, we discuss the role of dermoscopy and reflectance confocal microscopy in the differential diagnosis of syringoma.
