Graphite with a large inter-planar distance (0.357 nm) was obtained from pig bone. It delivered an improving specific capacity which increased continuously to 538 mA h g(-1) at 1 A g(-1) after 1000 cycles. With microscopic characterization, it has been found that the pig-bone-based graphite was exfoliated to graphene during the charge-discharge process.

Wearable electrocardiogram (ECG) devices are the mainstream technology in the diagnosis of various cardiovascular diseases, in which soft, flexible, permeable electrodes are the key link in human-machine interface to capture bioelectrical signals. Herein, we propose a self-template strategy to fabricate silver-coated fiber/silicone (AgCF-S) electrodes. With a simple dissolving-curing-redissolving process, the polyvinyl acetate shell around the AgCF core is in-situ removed to form a three-dimensional (3D) multi-channel structure.

The rising flexible and intelligent electronics greatly facilitate the noninvasive and timely tracking of physiological information in telemedicine healthcare. Meticulously building bionic-sensitive moieties is vital for designing efficient electronic skin with advanced cognitive functionalities to pluralistically capture external stimuli. However, realistic mimesis, both in the skin's three-dimensional interlocked hierarchical structures and synchronous encoding multistimuli information capacities, remains a challenging yet vital need for simplifying the design of flexible logic circuits.

Castor oil has been widely used in various fields due to its properties, leading to large attention for its extraction mechanism. To research the castor oil extraction mechanism during pressing, a self-developed uniaxial compression device combined with an in situ observation is established. The effects of pressure, loading speed, and creep time are investigated, and a finite element model coupling with multi-physics is established for castor oil pressing extraction, verified by the seed cake experimental compression strain matching with numerical simulation under the same condition.

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIRS) can provide rich information on the composition and content of samples, enabling the detection of subtle changes in tissue composition and structure. This study represents the first application of FTIRS to investigate cartilage under microgravity. Simulated microgravity cartilage model was firstly established by tail-suspension (TS) for 7, 14 and 21 days, which would be compared to control samples.
