Background And Purpose: Enhancement of the facial nerve can be seen on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) due to its rich arteriovenous plexus. Classically, enhancement of the facial nerve beyond the geniculate ganglion has been described as a normal finding, while enhancement of the canalicular and labyrinthine segments is considered abnormal. We hypothesize facial nerve enhancement of the canalicular and labyrinthine segments is a normal finding on the post-contrast T-weighted, fat-saturated VIBE (volumetric interpolated breath-hold examination) sequence on both 1.

Background: To investigate the unique properties of clinical manifestation and radiological imaging for differential diagnosis of optic nerve hemangioblastoma (ONH) from adult optic nerve glioma (ONG) prior to surgical resection.
Methods: ONH and adult ONG patients were recruited from 2012 to 2022.
Results: A total of seven ONH patients (8 eyes) and 23 adult ONG patients (24 eyes) were assessed.

Purpose: This study aimed to determine whether magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) biomarkers are associated with visual prognosis in myelin oligodendrocyte protein (MOG)-associated optic neuritis (ON).
Design: Cross-sectional analysis.
Participants: Patients meeting 2023 international diagnostic criteria for MOG antibody-associated disease who were seen for first episodes of MOG-associated ON at 3 tertiary neuro-ophthalmology practices between January 2017 and July 2023 were enrolled.

Glucocorticoids (GC) and parathyroid hormone (PTH) are widely used therapeutic endocrine hormones where their effects on bone and joint arise from actions on multiple skeletal cell types. In osteocytes, GC and PTH exert opposing effects on perilacunar canalicular remodeling (PLR). Suppressed PLR can impair bone quality and joint homeostasis, including in GC-induced osteonecrosis.
