Nymphal and larval Amblyomma cordiferum ticks, a relatively rare species, were collected from the Malaysian house rat (Rattus rattus diardii) in Peninsular Malaysia. Redescription and molecular analysis of nymphs and larvae, based on the 12S rRNA, 16S rRNA, and COI genes, revealed divergence from A. cordiferum in Taiwan, suggesting that the Taiwanese tick specimens may represent a different taxon.

The early and mature larvae of Pselaphacus procerus Kuhnt, 1910 are described here for the first time and the adult male and female are redescribed. The description of the larvae of this species represents the second of Pselaphacus immatures. The early larvae of this species are easily separated from mature larvae, by the absence of dorsal sclerotized plates on the abdomen of the former.

Culex (Melanoconion) dureti Casal & García, 1968 was described based on the adult male. In this article, we describe and illustrate the pupa and the fourth-instar larva and provide a redescription of the adult male. Diagnostic characters of the male genitalia and fourth-instar larva are also provided to separate Cx.
