In the period from January 1983 to June 1986 were treated 141 patients with tibial condylar fractures in our institute. We wanted to compare the results of conservative versus surgical treatment. The results of 40 patients were analyzed, both clinically and X-rayed, and then compared according to Courvoisier scheme. The obtained results were better with conservative treatment in cases of fractures of both condyles. The reasons were discussed. The infection rate was 12.9%. It is stressed the importance of modern methods as early functional treatment and minimal osteosyntheses combined with arthroscopy controls.

Objective: Robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a novel orthopedic technique. The workflow of robotic-assisted TKA is quite different from that of traditional manual TKA and may result incompletely different resection parameters. Understanding these parameters may help surgeons better perform robotic-assisted TKA.

Purpose: In functionally aligned (FA) total knee arthroplasty (TKA), femoral component rotation (FCR) is personalised to optimise flexion gap balance. As axial malalignment has been attributed to patellofemoral complications, this study assessed FA FCR in relation to the surgical transepicondylar axis (TEA) and early implant survivorship.
Methods: We analysed 446 robotic-assisted primary TKAs in 393 patients using FA with preresection gap balancing.

Background: Bicondylar tibial plateau fractures are often associated with significant soft tissue compromise making operative treatment challenging. Dual plating through a two-incision approach following temporary external fixation has been shown to improve complication rates although deep infection rates remain high. The objective was to evaluate early outcomes following a novel technique of percutaneous application of the medial plate superficial to the pes anserinus tendons.

Purpose Of The Study: Temporary hemiepiphyseodesis using figure-eight plates is currently one of the main surgical techniques to correct axial deformities of lower limbs in paediatric patients. Comprehensive analysis, correct indication and monitoring of treatment are the basic prerequisites for successful therapy. The aim of the study was to analyse parameters that could become an alternative to standard parameters used nowadays, namely the inserted screw angle (SA), and a new parameter - condylar ratio (CR).

Background: Studies have revealed abnormalities of the epiphyseal plate of the distal femur in patients with trochlear dysplasia, but it is unclear whether the epiphyseal plate could be remodeled after surgical correction of patellar dislocation.
Purpose: To investigate whether the morphology of the epiphyseal plate and trochlea could be improved after medial patellar retinaculum plasty in skeletally immature patients and to investigate the correlations between the morphology of the epiphyseal plate and trochlear dysplasia as well as clinical outcomes.
Study Design: Cohort study; Level of evidence, 3.
