Due to the complex and uncertain physics of lightning strike on carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) laminates, conventional numerical simulation methods for assessing the residual strength of lightning-damaged CFRP laminates are highly time-consuming and far from pretty. To overcome these challenges, this study proposes a new prediction method for the residual strength of CFRP laminates based on machine learning. A diverse dataset is acquired and augmented from photographs of lightning strike damage areas, C-scan images, mechanical performance data, layup details, and lightning current parameters.

Clinical motion analysis plays an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of mobility-limiting diseases. Within this assessment, relative (point-to-point) tracking of extremities could benefit from increased accuracy. Given the limitations of current wearable sensor technology, supplementary spatial data such as distance estimates could provide added value.

To improve the performance of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) multi-label systems, the multi-label network structure needs to be quickly located and optimized. A multi-label location measurement method based on the NLM-Harris algorithm is proposed in this paper. Firstly, multi-label geometric distribution images are obtained through a label image acquisition system of a multi-label semi-physical simulation platform with two vertical Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) cameras, and Gaussian noise is added to the image to simulate thermoelectric interference.

The Transformer model has received significant attention in Human Activity Recognition (HAR) due to its self-attention mechanism that captures long dependencies in time series. However, for Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensor time-series signals, the Transformer model does not effectively utilize the a priori information of strong complex temporal correlations. Therefore, we proposed using multi-layer convolutional layers as a Convolutional Feature Extractor Block (CFEB).

Accurate head positioning is essential for diagnostics of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). This study aimed to quantify the head angles and angular velocities during traditional manual BPPV diagnostics in patients with positional vertigo. : A prospective, observational cohort study was conducted at a tertiary university hospital outpatient clinic.
