The purpose of this study was to investigate the anti-hyaluronidase activities of honeys from different botanical origins honeys in order to determine their anti-inflammatory properties. The total phenolic contents, total flavonoids and total tannin levels of six types of honey, chestnut, oak, heather, pine, buckwheat and mixed blossom, were determined. Concentration-related inhibition values were tested turbidimetrically on bovine testis hyaluronidase (BTHase) as IC50 (mg/mL). All honeys exhibited various concentration-dependent degrees of inhibition against BTHase. Inhibition values varied significantly depending on honeys' levels of phenolic contents, flavonoid and tannin. The honeys with the highest anti-hyaluronidase activity were oak, chestnut and heather. In conclusion, polyphenol-rich honeys have high anti-hyaluronidase activity, and these honeys have high protective and complementary potential against hyaluronidase-induced anti-inflammatory failures.

Chebulagic acid and chebulinic acid are the two tannin compounds with the highest content in Terminalia chebula, they were separated by ODS column eluted with 20% methanol and 35% methanol, respectively. The compounds were identified by comparing the data of H NMR and C NMR with the literature; HPLC method was used to investigate the stable storage conditions of chebulagic acid and chebulinic acid; lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induced in vivo inflammation model and RAW264.7 macrophage in vitro inflammatory model to evaluate the anti-inflammatory activities of chebulagic acid and chebulinic acid.

Fish gelatin, a sustainable substitute for mammalian gelatin, frequently exhibits weaker gel strength and thermal stability, limiting its industrial uses. This study investigated an in vivo method to improve functional characteristics by supplementing Nile tilapia diets with Aronia extract. Drone larvae (DL) has many biological activities thanks to the bioactive components it contains, but there are very few studies on its antimicrobial activity. The aim of this research was to determine the antifungal activity of DL (raw and lyophilised) water and ethanol extracts against fluconazole (FLU) sensitive and resistant yeast strains.
