Hyperplasia and neoplasia of mesonephric remnants in the uterine cervix are uncommon conditions that are often mis-diagnosed as usual forms of cervical adenocarcinoma. Here, we report a case of mesonephric adenocarcinoma with florid mesonephric hyperplasia of the uterine cervix in a 48-year-old female patient. The cervix was slightly enlarged eccentrically, without a definite mass-like lesion. Microscopically, the tumor cells infiltrated the cervical stroma with focal myometrial extension and were composed of predominantly round to polygonal cells arranged in ductal, tubular, or cystic structures. The remaining stroma revealed diffuse and florid mesonephric hyperplasia intertwined with tumor cells. Immunohistochemically, the tumor cells were positive for pancytokeratin, epithelial membrane antigen, and CD10. The Ki-67 proliferation index was slightly increased. The patient received routine adjuvant treatment and was alive and clinically free of disease at two-year follow-up.

Introduction: This study aims to quantify the shear wave speed (SWS) and stiffness of the uterine cervix (close to the internal cervical ostium (IOC) which is the cranial portion of cervix and close to the external cervical ostium (EOC) which is the caudal portion of cervix), caruncular areas, and vulvar labia during the postpartum period in healthy Kivircik ewes by using shear-wave elastography. Power Doppler ultrasonography was performed to evaluate the color pixel percentage (CPP) of the caruncles.

Methods: The study included 13 healthy pregnant Kivircik ewes, which were randomly selected.

Neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor (NTRK)-rearranged uterine sarcoma is a rare type of uterine sarcoma. This paper presents a case of a 49-year-old female who was admitted to the hospital due to lower abdominal pain and subsequently diagnosed with tropomyosin 3 (TPM3)::NTRK1-rearranged uterine sarcoma. To our knowledge, TPM3::NTRK1-rearranged sarcomas almost always occur in the cervix, and this is a novel case of uterine corpus occurrence.

Background: Cesarean hysterectomy for placenta accreta spectrum disorder may be associated with severe hemorrhage because of placental invasion of the myometrium and the uterovesical space or parametrium. It leads to serious complications, such as massive hemorrhage requiring massive transfusion, coagulopathy, bladder and ureteric injuries, need for intensive care unit admission and prolonged hospital stay. To reduce the complications of cesarean hysterectomy for placenta accreta spectrum disorder, ongoing efforts are being made to develop different surgical approaches.
