A simple, highly stable, sensitive and selective fluorescent system for peroxide explosives was developed via an aromatic aldehyde oxidation reaction. The high efficiency arises from its higher HOMO level and multiple H-bonding. The sensitivity is obtained to be 0.1 ppt for H2O2 and 0.2 ppb for TATP.

The simple and efficient conversion of carboxylic acids into structurally diverse organic molecules is highly desirable in chemical synthesis. This review covers recent developments in photocatalytic methodology for late-stage transformations of complex carboxylic acids and their derivatives enabled by radical decarboxylation and deoxygenation, highlighting some representative and significant contributions in this field. These advancements are categorized based on the reactivity patterns exhibited by the carboxylic acids.

Diabetic wounds present a considerable challenge in modern medicine due to their prolonged healing process, driven by sustained inflammation and impaired vascular regeneration. This study introduces a novel hydrogel network through osmosis, utilizing hyaluronic acid (HA) and phytic acid (PA) for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, respectively. By incorporating recombinant Human Amelogenin (rhAM), known for its angiogenic potential, we aimed to develop the HA-PA-rhAM hydrogel to enhance wound healing in diabetic rats.

Surfaces capable of specific biomolecule recognition are essential for cancer theranostics, biosensing, and tissue engineering. However, current grafting methods, critical for dictating the recognition efficiency and biocompatibility of biomaterials, especially hydrophilic polymers, struggle to balance high grafting density with ease of implementation. In pursuit of a simple, effective, and versatile solution, we introduced a polydopamine (PDA)-assisted Ca-mediated grafting strategy using hyaluronic acid (HA) as a model material.

Pomacea canaliculata is a highly successful invasive snail that shapes freshwater communities in both native and invaded habitats. We studied its digenean parasites from three freshwater bodies in its native distribution area in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. An integrated approach was used to determine and describe the larval stages of digenean, including morphological, molecular, and histopathology analyses.

Herein, a straightforward, productive protocol was adopted for the synthesis of carbon dots (CDs) by a simple microwave-assisted technique from (1 → 4), (1 → 6)-α-D-glucan polysaccharide (DAPS). The isolation and structural characterization of (1 → 4), (1 → 6)-α-D-glucan from the aqueous extracting of the Diascorea Alata was described here. The photo-physical and morphological studies of the prepared high quantum yield (27.
