Utility values of responders and nonresponders are essential inputs in cost-effectiveness studies of radiation therapy for painful bone metastases but, to our knowledge, they have not been reported separately. We sought to determine the utility values of responders and nonresponders using data from a prospective observational study on bone metastases. The original prospective observational study was conducted at 26 centers in Japan.

Background: Knee injuries are common among elite intercounty Gaelic games players (collectively GAA players).
Aims: The primary aim was to examine knee pain, function, and quality of life in retired elite male GAA players. Secondary objectives were to (i) report the incidence of previous knee surgery and total knee replacement, (ii) assess medication usage, and (iii) investigate any associations between a history of knee injury and/or knee surgery and knee pain, function, and quality of life among retired elite male GAA players.

Background: pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF) improves health-related quality of life (QoL). This study compares QoL improvement after radiofrequency ablation (RF) and cryoballoon ablation (cryo) and assesses additional ablations' role in QoL improvement.
Methods: we evaluated the QoL of consecutive patients with first-time RF and cryo for PAF between January 2017 and June 2019.
