Aim Of The Study: On the available reports to assess the possibility of the infection with pyloric Helicobacter (H.pylori) from external sources--via contaminated food and water. BASIC CONCEPTS: H. pylori was established to be unable to multiply in dairy and other products, but under favorable conditions, can survive in the limited time. There are obtained epidemiological data about the feedback between the prevalence of H. pylori infection in the region and the availability of safe water. There was recorded ability of bacteria to survive for a short time in water in bacillary virulent form. In different water sources in different countries there was found H. pylori coccal form.

Conclusion: H. pylori ability to survive in the commonly used product supports the hypothesis that contaminated food (tank-human) may serve as a conductor of infection. The literature data testify to the possibility and importance of the waterway for H. pylori infection transmission that changes the approaches to prophylaxis and the prevention of associated with it diseases.

Background: Helicobacter pylori (HP) affect nearly 50% of the world's population and can colonize the submucosal and mucosal layers of the stomach wall, causing inflammation leading to a thickening of these layers. The study aimed to evaluate the application value of transabdominal ultrasonography combined with elastography in the prediction of HP using HP Fecal Antigen Test as gold standard.

Method: This prospective case-control study was conducted in 174 participants classified into three groups: Group A: Symptomatic patients with thickened stomach antral and evident HP infection on fecal antigen test results, Group B: Symptomatic patients with thickened antral and no evident HP infection on fecal antigen test results, and Group C: control group of asymptomatic individuals with negative HP screening to predict the diagnostic accuracy of B-mode ultrasound and elastography in the prediction of HP pylori.

Observations: Approximately 10% of patients presenting with upper abdominal pain in a primary care setting have a peptic ulcer as the cause of their symptoms. The principal causes of peptic ulcer disease are Helicobacter pylori infection, which affects approximately 42% of patients with peptic ulcer disease, and aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) use, which are etiologic factors in approximately 36% of people with peptic ulcer disease.
