Objective: Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare but severe autoimmune disease characterized by immune dysregulation, fibrosis, and vasculopathy. While previous studies have highlighted the presence of functional autoantibodies targeting the angiotensin II type 1 receptor (ATR) and endothelin-1 type A receptor (ETR), leading to autoantibody-mediated receptor stimulation and subsequent activation of endothelial cells (ECs), a comprehensive understanding of the direct interaction between these autoantibodies and their receptors is currently lacking. Moreover, existing data confirming the presence of these autoantibodies in SSc often rely on similar methodologies and assays.

Objective: Autoimmune glial fibrillary acidic protein astrocytopathy (GFAP-A) is a novel steroid sensitive autoimmune disease, without a diagnostic consensus. The purpose of this study was to improve early GFAP-A diagnosis by increasing awareness of key clinical characteristics and imaging manifestations.

Methods: Medical records of 13 patients with anti-GFAP antibodies in serum or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) were reviewed for cross-sectional and longitudinal analysis of clinical and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings.

Objective: Resistance to thyroid hormone beta (RTHβ) is a rare disorder characterized by a fairly heterogeneous clinical presentation due to varying degrees of tissue response to thyroid hormone. The study aimed to evaluate the clinical, laboratory features and genotype-phenotype relationship of Turkish patients with RTHβ.

Methods: Patients who underwent a THRB gene analysis between September 2019 and September 2023 were retrospectively reviewed.

Autoantibody detection is important in the diagnosis, classification, condition assessment and therapeutical effect monitoring of autoimmune disease. To improve the diagnosis and treatment ability of autoimmune disease in primary healthcare institutions in China, Grassroots Inspection Technology Standardization Branch of China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care organized experts from various clinical specialties, such as the department of laboratory medicine and the department of rheumatology, to publish the "Expert consensus on autoantibody detection and application in primary healthcare institutions", so as to promote the professionalization and standardization of autoantibody detection and application in primary healthcare institutions.

Objective: Early diagnosis and treatment of anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor encephalitis (NMDARE) are crucial for a favorable prognosis. Detecting the causative autoantibodies can be challenging. Probable diagnostic criteria are useful in adults less so in children.
