Background/objectives: There is currently no consensus regarding the optimal strategy for reversal of anticoagulation in life-threatening hemorrhage associated with factor XIa (FXIa) inhibitors.
Methods: For this clinical case report, informed consent was obtained from surrogate.
Results And Discussion: Here, we present the case of an 82-year-old female who sustained a large subdural hematoma after a fall.

Background And Objectives: Chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) is one of the most common neurosurgical conditions. However, current evidence on postoperative outcomes exhibits variability due to small sample sizes, nonstandardized outcome assessment, and variations in surgical techniques. The aim of this study was to overcome these limitations by assessing standardized outcome measures after surgical intervention for CSDH at a high-volume population-based center favoring a uniform burr-hole craniotomy (BHC) approach.

Introduction: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a major cause of disability and mortality worldwide. Acute traumatic subdural hematoma (TSDH) accounts for a large proportion of all TBI cases. However, factors to predict postoperative prognosis in patients with acute TSDH are limited.

Pure acute subdural hematoma (ASDH) is an uncommon clinical presentation of ruptured intracranial aneurysms, and only rarely, the culprit is a cortical microaneurysm.Mortality can be high; thus, appropriate diagnosis and treatment are crucial. Due to its extreme rarity, there are no available guidelines.

The dura trauma or large defects due to neurosurgical procedures can result in potential complications. Dural replacements have proven effective to reduce the risk of seizures, meningitis, cerebrospinal fluid leakage, cerebral herniation, and infection. Although various artificial dural patches have been developed, addressing iatrogenic infections and cerebral adhesions resulting from patches implantation remains a challenge.
