Mycobacterium tuberculosis infections are uncommon complications in the haematopoietic stem cell post-transplant period. Most cases are reactivations of latent infections affecting the lung. We present an atypical case of isolated lymph node tuberculosis after an allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, which highlights the importance of having a high suspicion index, even in non-endemic countries.

Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is one of the most important methods for treating a wide range of hematologic malignancies and bone marrow failure diseases. However, graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a major complication associated with this method, can seriously affect the survival and quality of life of patients. Acute GVHD (aGVHD) occurs within 100 days after transplantation, and gastrointestinal aGVHD (GI-aGVHD) is one of the leading causes of nonrecurrent death after allo-HSCT.

Background: While invasive fusariosis and lomentosporiosis are known to be associated with fungemia, overall data on mold-related fungemia are limited, hampering early management. This study aimed to describe the epidemiology of mold-positive blood cultures.
Methods: Epidemiological and clinical data on mold-positive blood cultures from 2012 to 2022 were obtained from the RESSIF database.
Cullin-5 (Cul5) coordinates assembly of cullin-RING-E3 ubiquitin (Ub) ligase (CRL) complexes that include Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling (SOCS)-box-containing proteins. The SOCS-box proteins function to recruit specific substrates to the complex for ubiquitination and degradation. In hematopoiesis, SOCS-box proteins are best known for regulating the actions of cytokines that utilize the JAK-STAT signaling pathway.

Aging and chronic inflammation are associated with overabundant myeloid-primed multipotent progenitors (MPPs) amongst hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs). While HSC differentiation bias has been considered a primary cause of myeloid bias, whether it is sufficient has not been quantitatively evaluated. Using immunotherapeutic agents like inotuzumab ozogamicin (InO), blinatumomab, or chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR T)-cell therapy in frontline adult B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) therapy is promising. These agents are mostly well tolerated and have different toxicity profiles than conventional chemotherapy, enabling their combination with chemotherapy. Additionally, they have often been shown to overcome the traditional adverse ALL risk features.
