Nitrous oxide (N2O) is the most commonly used inhalation anesthetic in dentistry and is commonly used in emergency centers and ambulatory surgery centers as well. When used alone, it is incapable of producing general anesthesia reliably. However, as a single agent, it has an impressive safety and is excellent for providing minimal and moderate sedation for apprehensive minor oral surgical procedure. In this article, action of N2O in overcoming the anxiety and pain of the patient during the minor oral surgery and its advantages and disadvantages, have been reviewed.

Background: This study aimed to assess and compare the performance of root canal treatment obturated either with calcium silicate-based or epoxy resin-based root canal sealers on retreatment cases with periapical lesions.
Methods: Patients' radiographic data and clinical records were obtained retrospectively from the computerized patient record system. A total of 44 teeth, 28 teeth treated with calcium silicate-based sealer and 16 teeth treated with epoxy resin-based sealer, were included in the study.

Background: The evidence on the effect of printing orientation on dimensional accuracy and properties of resinous dental models is unclear. This systematic review aimed to assess the impact of printing orientation on the accuracy and properties of additively manufactured resinous dental models, besides the cost, material consumption, and time efficiency at different orientations.
Methods: A comprehensive web search (PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane) was performed in July 2024 without language restrictions.

Deep learning techniques are increasingly being used to classify medical imaging data with high accuracy. Despite this, due to often limited training data, these models can lack sufficient generalizability to predict unseen test data, produced in different domains, with comparable performance. This study focuses on thyroid histopathology image classification and investigates whether a Generative Adversarial Network [GAN], trained with just 156 patient samples, can produce high quality synthetic images to sufficiently augment training data and improve overall model generalizability.

The current study aimed to assess the effect of thyme honey on pain relief in patients with minor aphthous ulcers as a primary objective, its healing effect on ulcer size reduction, and the Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP-14). In this randomized clinical trial, 30 patients (15 in each group) having minor aphthous ulcers at the oral diagnostic clinic at the British University in Egypt were treated with either thyme honey or triamcinolone acetonide in orabase. Different clinical parameters were recorded for both groups at various intervals, such as pain intensity using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS), size of ulcers in mm, and OHIP-14.
