Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex endocrine disorder that affects women of reproductive age and is characterized by hyperandrogenism, ovulatory dysfunction and polycystic ovarian morphology. PCOS is often associated with hormonal imbalances, metabolic dysfunction and comorbid psychiatric disorders, including eating disorders (EDs). The review identifies key hormonal factors-serotonin, leptin, insulin, ghrelin, kisspeptin and cortisol-and their roles in the pathophysiology of PCOS and associated psychiatric symptoms.

Introduction: Recent studies have shown a close relationship between attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and allergic diseases in children. Regrettably, few studies have investigated the effect of comorbid allergies on ADHD symptoms and sleep, in particular, it is unclear whether comorbid allergic conditions further exacerbate sleep problems in children with ADHD.

Persons with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) compared to those without evince high rates of hazardous drinking, or patterns of alcohol consumption that increase the risk for harmful consequences. One potential marker of vulnerability for PTSD-hazardous drinking comorbidity may be smoking behavior. Individuals with PTSD have a higher prevalence of smoking and smoke at higher rates.

Studies suggest that TB patients often experience co-morbid mental health problems, highlighting a dual burden of illness. In this paper we report a LP case in a 42-year-old male patient in which anxiety and depression were apparently the only possible risk factors of LP. Due to this apparent comorbidity and the risk of not responding well to conventional medication (topical and systemic corticosteroids) or the risk of relapse in the case of ongoing stress, we decided to integrate psychotherapy (without psychotropic drugs) as an adjunct into the management strategy.
