Purpose: In the recovery phase of COVID-19 disaster management, Emergency Department (ED) nurses are attempting to return to normal workforce operations, despite significant impacts on personal and professional lives. This review aims to examine and synthesise current literature for the learnings and recommendations from the lived experiences of ED nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Procedures: Electronic databases CINAHL Complete, Web of Science, Scopus (Elsevier) and PubMed were utilised using a 5-year timeframe that aligned with COVID-19 in Australia.

Background: When compared to open surgery, laparoscopic common bile duct exploration (LCBDE) is known to cause less discomfort and a faster recovery. This study examines the effect of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) strategy on LCBDE outcomes.
Methods: In March 2021 to May 2024, 400 patients with LCBDE participated in randomized research.

Study Question: How do surrogates think, feel, and reflect on their experiences of being a surrogate over time?
Summary Answer: Despite continuing to require physical, emotional, and interpersonal labour, surrogates in this study reflected positively on their experiences of being a surrogate decades later.
What Is Known Already: Research on families created through surrogacy shows that it can be a positive experience for both the intended parents and the surrogate. No existing research has examined the experiences of surrogacy for surrogates beyond 10 years post-birth.

The proportion of female doctors among younger generations has increased in recent years, and support for reemployment after childbirth and childcare leave is important for maintaining stability of local healthcare. We conducted a questionnaire with doctors in the Department of Pediatrics at Ehime University School of Medicine and it's affiliated hospitals to identify issues in the career development of female doctors. Although many female physicians want to pursue career development by obtaining subspecialty qualifications and PhD degrees, a high percentage have not actually obtained them.
