Single-vessel quantitative coronary angiography (QCA) software is inaccurate when used in bifurcation lesions due to the specific anatomical characteristics of bifurcations, including the natural step-down in diameters after every bifurcation. Dedicated bifurcation QCA software has been developed to overcome the limitations of single-vessel QCA in bifurcations. A phantom validation study has shown the superior accuracy of these bifurcation QCA algorithms compared to the single-vessel QCA software. These QCA software algorithms are currently highly recommended to assess bifurcation lesions.

Background: Improving the efficiency of ophthalmology service is a global challenge to fight vision impairment, yet there is little concrete evidence of the current efficiency status. This study aimed to examine the efficiency of ophthalmology departments in the Hunan Province, China, and determine the associating factors of low-efficiency and high-efficiency ophthalmology departments.
Methods: This cross-sectional study included a province-level survey of ophthalmology departments of public hospitals.

This paper was focused on logic gates, D-latch, parallel-parallel shift-registers, and parallel-series shift registers, which are used as basic circuits in numerous circuits as well as computational and comparative units. To design proposed shift registers, D-latch which is the vital gate, is designed carefully for minimum size, decreasing number of cells and good performance for delay. The proposed level-sensitive parallel-in parallel-out () shift registers with reset terminal and with both set and reset terminals (single-layer and multi-layer), edge-sensitive shift registers with reset and set/reset abilities (single-layer and multi-layer), and the parallel-in serial-out () shift registers were designed using the proposed D-latches.

Quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) technology is another new technology in the field of nanoelectronics and quantum. With the help of this technology, basic to advanced digital circuits can be designed and implemented with low energy consumption and small area. Therefore, in this paper, a new design for a four- and eight-bit Linear feedback shift register (LFSR) or random counter, as well as a rising-edge-sensitive D flip-flop with the least possible number of cells and the smallest area, was presented.

Background: Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death and the use of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is steadily increasing. Current guidelines advocate the use of the fractional flow reserve (FFR) to assess coronary stenosis and treatment strategies; however, invasive FFR has some limitations. Angiography-derived FFR is a potential alternative for calculating FFR from two-dimensional (2D) angiographic images, thereby reducing invasiveness and complications.

Background: Artificial intelligence-based quantitative coronary angiography (AI-QCA) has been developed to provide a more objective and reproducible data about the severity of coronary artery stenosis and the dimensions of the vessel for intervention in real-time, overcoming the limitations of significant inter- and intraobserver variability, and time-consuming nature of on-site QCA, without requiring extra time and effort. Compared with the subjective nature of visually estimated conventional CAG guidance, AI-QCA guidance provides a more practical and standardized angiography-based approach. Although the advantage of intravascular imaging-guided PCI is increasingly recognized, their broader adoption is limited by clinical and economic barriers in many catheterization laboratories.
