CO, SO, NO, CO, SO, and NO gas sensing properties of Ti-benzene (CHTi) complex are studied with first principles calculations by analyzing change in structural parameters, electronic properties, and charge transfer. Adsorption of all six oxide molecules on CHTi complex is found to be thermodynamically favorable at ambient conditions. The Gibbs free energy-corrected adsorption energy range for oxide molecules is found be 0.

Purpose: The purpose of this retrospective study was to evaluate the survival rates and analyze the factors that affect survival rate after primary treatment with medial open wedge high tibial osteotomy (MOWHTO) for medial unicompartmental knee osteoarthritis.

Methods: Clinical evaluation using Knee Society Score (KSS) and Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index score and radiographic evaluation, including mechanical axis, were done before and after surgery. The main failure criteria for survival included the conversion to total knee arthroplasty or KSS of <60 points.

High density functionalization of DNA with ethynyl and octadiynyl side chains followed by CuAAC "click labeling" with 9-azidomethylanthracene was performed. Alkynyl DNA was also cross-linked with fluorogenic 9,10-bis-azidomethylanthracene employing the "bis-click" reaction. By this means the fluorescence of the anthracene moiety was imparted to the virtually nonfluorescent DNA.
