Titanium isopropoxide (TIPO), tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and Fluoroalkylsilane (FAS) silane precursor were employed to coat transparent thin film on the glass substrate and these effectively prevents pollution on the glass from microorganisms. The each nanocomposition film was prepared by sol-gel method, the solution of nanocomposite was coated by spin coater with 1200 rpm for 30 sec and cured by thermal at 100 degrees C on glass which surface treated with Piranha solution. The nanocomposite films with highly self cleaning efficacy were fabricated and studied for various molar compositions of TEOS, TIPO and FAS. TEOS/TIPO film in glass substrate shows an optical transparency over 90% up to 30 mol% of TIPO in TEOS/TIPO composite films and also FAS incorporated up to 4 mol% onto TEOS/TIPO films. The anti-microbial efficiency of the nanocomposite film was improved 30% when it was exposed under UV light radiation than that in ambient condition.

Advancements in printing techniques are essential for fabricating next-generation displays. Lead halide perovskites demonstrate great potential as light emitters of solution-processed light-emitting diodes (LEDs). In particular, the perovskite/polymer composite emitters exhibit exceptional luminescent characteristics, mechanical flexibility, and environmental stability due to the improved film morphologies and defect passivation achieved through the introduction of polymer additives.

In this work, the conventional melt quenching approach is used to synthesize the Pr doped NaF-BiO-BO-SiO (NBBS) glasses. The influence of Pr ions on their spectroscopic and structural characteristics in glass network is investigated. The amorphous nature of the samples has been amply verified by X-ray diffraction patterns.

The application of antimicrobial surfaces requires proof of their effectivity by methods in laboratories. One of the most common test methods is ISO 22196:2011, which represents a simple and inexpensive protocol by applying the bacterial suspension with known volume and concentration covered under a polyethylene film on the surfaces. The incubation is then conducted under defined humidity conditions for 24 h.

In two-dimensional (2D) chiral metal-halide perovskites (MHPs), chiral organic spacers induce structural chirality and chiroptical properties in the metal-halide sublattice. This structural chirality enables reversible crystalline-glass phase transitions in (-NEA)PbBr, a prototypical chiral 2D MHP where NEA represents 1-(1-naphthyl)ethylammonium. Here, we investigate two distinct spherulite states of (-NEA)PbBr, exhibiting either radial-like or stripe-like banded patterns depending on the annealing conditions of the amorphous film.

The materials currently available for information encryption often suffer from low transparency, poor mechanical strength, and a reliance on single decryption conditions, which limits their security and hence application potential. To address these challenges, we developed a transparent, mechanically robust polymer film inspired by the camouflage and communication strategies of the glass squid. In this film, 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalic acid (DHTA) and zinc acetate dihydrate are integrated into a crosslinked polyvinyl alcohol-glutaraldehyde (PVA-GA) matrix to achieve bidirectional irreversible fluorescence and sequential decryption.
