Observations of the south pole of the Saturnian moon Enceladus revealed large rifts in the south-polar terrain, informally called 'tiger stripes', named Alexandria, Baghdad, Cairo and Damascus Sulci. These fractures have been shown to be the sources of the observed jets of water vapour and icy particles and to exhibit higher temperatures than the surrounding terrain. Subsequent observations have focused on obtaining close-up imaging of this region to better characterize these emissions. Recent work examined those newer data sets and used triangulation of discrete jets to produce maps of jetting activity at various times. Here we show that much of the eruptive activity can be explained by broad, curtain-like eruptions. Optical illusions in the curtain eruptions resulting from a combination of viewing direction and local fracture geometry produce image features that were probably misinterpreted previously as discrete jets. We present maps of the total emission along the fractures, rather than just the jet-like component, for five times during an approximately one-year period in 2009 and 2010. An accurate picture of the style, timing and spatial distribution of the south-polar eruptions is crucial to evaluating theories for the mechanism controlling the eruptions.

Although one of the most likely hypotheses is that the primary defect is in an impaired epidermal barrier function, alternative hypotheses include an imbalance between antiviral immune responses and regulatory T (T(reg)) cells, and the defects in the innate immune system. Introduction: Atopy is a complex disorder characterized by affinity for elevated titre of IgE antibodies against one or more ubiquitous antigens, by the joint respiratory and skin manifestations, that is caused by an individual gene structure. Urticaria is a monomorphous dermatosis meaning a short-lived eruption of urticaria, characterized by circumscript edema of superficial dermis.
Aim: The objective of this study was to establish a participation of atopic genesis in the examined groups, on the basis of the questionnaire results.

During late 1999/early 2000, the solid state imaging experiment on the Galileo spacecraft returned more than 100 high-resolution (5 to 500 meters per pixel) images of volcanically active Io. We observed an active lava lake, an active curtain of lava, active lava flows, calderas, mountains, plateaus, and plains. Several of the sulfur dioxide-rich plumes are erupting from distal flows, rather than from the source of silicate lava (caldera or fissure, often with red pyroclastic deposits).
