In the aftermath of its Apology to People of Color (American Psychological Association, 2021b), the American Psychological Association recently committed itself to a long-term process by which it aims to address racial equity within the field of psychology as well as society more broadly (Andoh, 2022). In service of these ends, what can psychology learn from an analysis of the discursive framework within which it conducts its racism-related work? This critical conceptual article begins with the premise that all professional discourse-the concepts, language, and logic structures by which a field creates and communicates knowledge-inevitably bears the markings of the society in which it was established. However, "sickle cell crisis" has been used as a cause of death for decedents with SCT in reports of exertion-related death in athletes, military personnel, and individuals in police custody.

Background And Objective: PARP inhibitor (PARPi) treatment is an effective option for patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). There are few data on the cardiovascular and thromboembolic safety of these agents in mCRPC, as cardiovascular and thromboembolic adverse events (AEs) are uncommon. Our aim was to analyze the incidence and risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs), thromboembolic events, and hypertension with PARPi therapy in mCRPC.

Background: The field of plastic and reconstructive surgery has recently made a dramatic shift toward attention to mental health, with residency curricula expanding to include training on burnout prevention and the promotion of well-being. After graduation, however, new surgeons face a difficult year of preparation for the oral board certification examination. This group of young surgeons remains largely unstudied and undersupported throughout what may be the most challenging period of their educational journey.
