Unlabelled: Carotid Blowout Syndrome (CBS) is a rare and life-threatening condition that necessitates prompt intervention to prevent fatal hemorrhage. This study compares the outcomes of two primary endovascular approaches: reconstructive interventions, which aim to preserve carotid artery function using stents or balloon angioplasty, and deconstructive interventions, which involve vessel occlusion to halt bleeding. A systematic review and meta-analysis were performed by searching multiple databases for relevant studies published from January 2000 to August 2023.

Department of General Surgery, Tianjin First Center Hospital, Tianji, 300384, China.

A number of various human malignancies have been associated with abnormal microRNAs (miRNA) expression. There are evidence that miR-200 operates as both tumor suppressor and an onco-miR in a variety of tumors. In this study, we evaluated the effects of miR-200 on the proliferation and migration of pancreatic cancer cells, as well as the underlying molecular pathways.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a multi-factorial degenerative joint disease with unclear pathogenesis. Conservative treatments, primarily aimed at pain relief, fail to halt disease progression. Metabolic syndrome has recently been implicated in OA pathogenesis, underscoring the need for novel therapeutic strategies.

Neurodegenerative diseases are primarily characterized by the selective loss of neurons in the brain, leading to a significant and widespread global public health burden. Although numerous mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases have been elucidated, effective therapeutic strategies are still being explored. Several drugs have been proposed to halt disease progression; however, they often come with severe side effects.

Over 90% of cancer patients succumb to metastasis, yet conventional frontline therapy struggles to halt the progression of metastatic tumors. Targeted radionuclide therapy, which delivers radiation precisely to tumor sites, shows promise for treating metastasis. The rational design of a prodrug activation platform using radionuclides would be an ideal approach to synergize chemotherapy with targeted radionuclide therapy, yet it has not been established.
