BOPHY dyes bearing bromo (in 5,5'-position) and iodo (in 4,4'-position) were synthesized. Double Knoevenagel reactions allow the extension of conjugation, resulting in an absorption above 625 nm. Selective cross-coupling reactions promoted by palladium(0) and microwave irradiation allow linking of a perylene module. These dyes are highly fluorescent, and the intramolecular cascade energy transfer from the perylene moiety to the BOPHY framework is almost quantitative, providing large virtual Stoke shifts (>5100 cm(-1)).

Crystalline Covalent Triazine Frameworks and 2D Triazine Polymers: Synthesis and Applications.

ConspectusCovalent triazine frameworks (CTFs) are a novel class of nitrogen-rich conjugated porous organic materials constructed by robust and functional triazine linkages, which possess unique structures and excellent physicochemical properties. They have demonstrated broad application prospects in gas/molecular adsorption and separation, catalysis, energy conversion and storage, etc. In particular, crystalline CTFs with well-defined periodic molecular network structures and regular pore channels can maximize the utilization of the features of CTFs and promote a deep understanding of the structure-property relationship.

Background: Adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (AEGJ) is a highly aggressive tumor that frequently metastasizes to the liver. Understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive this process is essential for developing effective therapies.

Methods: We employed single-cell RNA sequencing to analyze the tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental landscape in patients with AEGJ liver metastases.

Hyperglycemia and bacterial colonization in diabetic wounds aberrantly activate Nod-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) in macrophages, resulting in extensive inflammatory infiltration and impaired wound healing. Targeted suppression of the NLRP3 inflammasome shows promise in reducing macrophage inflammatory disruptions. However, challenges such as drug off-target effects and degradation via lysosomal capture remain during treatment.

Key Laboratory of Applied Chemistry of Chongqing Municipality, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Southwest University, Chongqing, 400715, China.

A copper-catalyzed [4 + 2] annulation protocol from readily available α,β-unsaturated ketoximes and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates has been achieved. The approach enables the expedient construction of a series of structurally new highly substituted pyridines with good functional group tolerance.

January 2025

Marmara University, School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes, Istanbul, Türkiye.

Objective: ACTION Teens (NCT05013359) surveyed adolescents living with obesity (ALwO), their caregivers, and healthcare professionals (HCPs) in 10 countries to identify attitudes, perceptions, behaviors, and barriers preventing effective obesity care. This subanalysis identified key findings from Türkiye.

Methods: In Türkiye, 700 ALwO (aged 12-<18 years), 700 caregivers, and 324 HCPs completed a cross-sectional survey (September-November 2021).
