Aortic dissection (AoD) is a rare fatal condition in which tearing in the intima causes a false channel in the aorta and can lead to rupture. AoD is classified as the DeBakey classification (Types I, II, III) and Stanford classification (Types A and B). Women with underlying risk factors such as hypertension, smoking, bicuspid aortic valve, and connective tissue disorders are at risk for pregnancy-related AoD.

Aim: Acute aortic dissection (AAD) represents a cardiovascular ailment characterised by a notable mortality rate. Chronobiological patterns can offer a predictive framework for anticipating the onset of AAD.
Method: Data were gathered from 1,151 patients diagnosed with AAD at Changhai Hospital in Shanghai, China, spanning 2000-2023.

: Thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAAs) are potentially life-threatening medical conditions, and their etiology involves both genetic and multiple risk factors. endocarditis is one of the most frequent causes of blood culture-negative infective endocarditis (BCNIE) in patients with previous cardiac surgery. Our review aims to emphasize the importance of genetic testing in patients with thoracic aortic aneurysms but also the importance of additional testing in patients with suspected endocarditis whose blood cultures remain negative.

Importance: Heart failure (HF) hospitalization is a common end point in HF trials; however, how HF hospitalization is associated with all-cause hospitalization in terms of proportionality, correlation of treatment effects, and concomitant reporting has not been studied.
Objective: To determine the ratio of HF to all-cause hospitalizations, whether reported treatment effects on HF hospitalization are associated with treatment effects on all-cause hospitalization, and how often all-cause hospitalization is reported alongside HF hospitalization.
Data Sources: PubMed was searched from inception to September 2, 2024, for randomized clinical trials (RCTs) of HF treatments using MeSH (medical subject heading) terms and keywords associated with heart failure, ventricular failure, ventricular dysfunction, and cardiac failure, as well as the names of specific journals.
