Taenia solium is a parasite and is endemic in the developing countries due to various unhygienic faecal practices. The disseminated form is commoner with the brain being the most common site of affliction. This report is of a young female patient with complaints of an insidious and progressive swelling of the right forearm.

Unlabelled: A rare case of widespread disseminated cysticercosis was identified in a 32-year-old female patient from the Eastern Cape province, South Africa. Initially, she displayed generalised nonspecific symptoms, leading to a misinterpretation of disseminated tuberculosis (TB). However, further radiological, haematological and pathological investigations revealed extensive dissemination of cysticercosis.

Cysticercosis, a major health issue in developing countries, is caused by the larval stage of . Disseminated cysticercosis (DCC), which is characterized by widespread cysticerci in various tissues, is rare and often asymptomatic. Here, we report the case of a 50-year-old man from rural Nepal with distal cholangiocarcinoma and DCC involving the skin, brain, orbit, tongue, soft palate, heart, and abdominal organs.
