Background: Pericardial effusion (PE) indicates the build-up of fluid within the pericardial sac, which encases the heart. The present study was undertaken to assess the clinical profile, etiology of pericardial effusion and to determine the correlation of cardiac tamponade and constrictive pericarditis with etiology.
Methods: A prospective observational hospital based longitudinal study was undertaken among the 88 newly diagnosed and known patients of pericardial effusion who are above 18 years.

Recurrent pericardial effusion poses a diagnostic challenge, especially in young patients. We present a case of a 22-year-old female who experienced recurrent pericardial effusion and cardiac tamponade. Despite initial treatment with anti-tubercular drugs and prednisolone, the patient had a relapse of symptoms, necessitating further investigation.

Objectives: The objective is to discover the etiopathogenesis of benign lower ureteric stricture in Eastern India and compare the outcome of open versus laparoscopic ureteroneocystostomy.
Materials And Methods: Retrospectively 52 patients who underwent laparoscopic ( = 28) or open ureteroneocystostomy ( = 24) for lower ureteral stricture between January 2018and December 2021 were included. The demography, aetiology, radiologic imaging, intraoperative & postoperative outcomes and follow-up data were collected and analysed.
