The analytical expression for the root-mean-square (Rms) beam width of the radial Gaussian beam array propagating in oceanic turbulence is derived, where the coherent combination is considered. Meanwhile, the analytical expression for effect of the turbulence on the beam F is also obtained. Giving a comparison of results of F calculated by the analytical expression and the previously integrating one, it can be seen that the two results are in agreement with each other exactly. Further, the influences of the rate of dissipation of mean-squared temperatureχ(T), the rate of dissipation of kinetic energy per unit mass of seawater εand the ratio of temperature to salinity contribution to the refractive index spectrum w are investigated. The results indicate that the Rms beam width increases as χ(T) increases, εdecreases and the salinity-induced turbulence dominates. Moreover, the changings of effective radius of curvature with mentioned above parameters are studied. The strength of turbulence determines the value of effective radius of curvature, and which decreases asχ(T) and w increases, and εdecreases.

Human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HPV-positive HNSCC) has distinct biological characteristics from HPV-negative HNSCC. Using an AI-based analytical platform on meta cohorts, we profiled expression patterns of viral transcripts and HPV viral genome integration, and classified the tumor microenvironment (TME). Unsupervised clustering analysis revealed five distinct and novel TME subtypes across patients (immune-enriched, highly immune and B-cell enriched, fibrotic, immune-desert, and immune-enriched luminal).

In this study, we present a dual-hop decode-and-forward relaying-based free-space optical (FSO) communication system. We consider utilizing simultaneous lightwave information and power transfer (SLIPT) with a time-splitting technique at the relay, where the direct current component of the received optical signal is harvested as a transmit power for the relay. It is assumed that the FSO links experience a Malaga turbulence channel with pointing errors.

(1) Background: Children with medical complexity (CMC) and neurologic impairment (NI) are a growing population in pediatric intensive care units (PICUs). (2) Objective: Our aim was to explore and describe the experiences and beliefs of PICU providers caring for CMC with NI. (3) Methods: A qualitative interview-based study was conducted.

: Advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are set to revolutionize healthcare, particularly in fields like endoscopic surgery that heavily rely on digital imaging. However, to effectively integrate these technologies and drive future innovations, pediatric surgeons need specialized AI/ML skills. This survey evaluated the current level of readiness and educational needs regarding AI/ML among members of the European Society of Pediatric Endoscopic Surgeons (ESPES).

Objective: To explore the function of LIM and calponin homology domains 1 (LIMCH1) in the development and progression of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), along with their potential clinical applications.
Methods: By utilizing transcriptome sequencing data from two groups of oral squamous cell carcinoma patients, along with bioinformatics analytical techniques such as Gene Ontology (GO) and gene co-expression networks, we identified genes that might play a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of oral squamous cell carcinoma. We employed real-time quantitative PCR and Western blotting to validate the expression patterns of these genes across twelve patient tissue samples.
