Pityriasis rosea (PR) is a prevalent dermatological condition characterized by a distinctive herald patch, followed by secondary eruptions, often forming a "Christmas tree" pattern on the trunk. Despite its recognizable clinical presentation, the etiology of PR remains uncertain, with hypotheses pointing to both infectious and noninfectious origins. Human herpesviruses (HHV) 6 and 7 have been implicated, with evidence suggesting viral reactivation as a potential trigger.

Chitosan microgels (h-CSMs) were prepared by cross-linking hydrophobically modified chitosan with sodium phytate (SP). Emulsions stabilized by h-CSMs with different inter-phase fraction, microgel concentration and cross-linking density were studied of their microstructural and rheological properties. In particular, the large amplitude oscillatory shear (LAOS) of the high internal phase emulsions (HIPEs) stabilized by h-CSMs were systematically analyzed using the Fourier transform with Chebyshev polynomials (FTC) and sequence of physical processes (SPP) methods, to explore their nonlinear rheological properties.

Maternal obesity puts the offspring at high risk of developing obesity and cardio-metabolic diseases in adulthood. Here, we utilized a mouse model of maternal high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity that recapitulates metabolic perturbations seen in humans. We show increased adiposity in the offspring of HFD-fed mothers (Off-HFD) when compared to the offspring regular diet-fed mothers (Off-RD).

Aberrant signaling across the EGFR-PTEN-AKT-mTOR pathways have been shown as common drivers of glioblastoma. Revealing the inter and intra-cellular heterogeneity within glioma stem cell populations in relations to signaling patterns through these pathways may be key to precision diagnostic and therapeutic targeting of these cells.
