The Cornell Medical Index--CMI was used in a group of 674 stomatologists from the North Moravian region to obtain information on their health status. The control group was formed by 126 health community doctors and factory medical officers from the Olomouc, Sumperk and Prerov districts. The results confirm that stomatologists, a risk group, suffer significantly more from somatic and mental problems, as compared with the control group.
