The knowledge of root canal morphology and the existing anatomical variations is essential for successful endodontic therapy. This report presents an extraordinary case of unusual tooth morphology involving the mandibular first molar with a single root and a single canal in a patient. Endodontic treatment of the affected tooth 36 was performed. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images confirmed our diagnostic and therapeutic measures after endodontic management of the teeth. This morphologic variation has been reported once in the literature. The availability of three-dimensional images further provided the opportunity for the precise description of the anatomy of mandibular first molar with single roots and single canals.

Aim: Ultrasonography (US) has shown accuracy in imaging healthy periodontium. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of US for estimating dimensions of inflamed periodontium induced by ligature and bacteria.
Methods: Periodontal tissues of maxillary as well as mandibular premolars and molars in six female mini pigs were treated with ligature and three strains of bacteria for 4-10 weeks.

Background: This study aimed to establish a model for predicting the difficulty of mandibular third molar extraction based on a Bayesian network to meet following requirements: (1) analyse the interaction of the primary risk factors; (2) output quantitative difficulty-evaluation results based on the patient's personal situation; and (3) identify key surgical points and propose surgical protocols to decrease complications.
Methods: Relevant articles were searched to identify risk factors. Clinical knowledge and experience were used to analyse the risk factors to establish the Bayesian network.

Aim: This study aimed to explore the possible bidirectional interrelations between fructose-induced metabolic syndrome (MS) and apical periodontitis (AP).
Methodology: Twenty-eight male Wistar rats were distributed into four groups (n = 7, per group): Control (C), AP, Fructose Consumption (FRUT) and Fructose Consumption and AP (FRUT+AP). The rats in groups C and AP received filtered water, while those in groups FRUT and FRUT+AP received a 20% fructose solution mixed with water to induce MS.

The aim of this study was to assess the stability of immediate dental implants in fresh molar extraction sockets and to compare those placed in the maxilla and mandible. This was a controlled, prospective, non-randomized clinical trial; the maxilla was the test group and the mandible was the control group. Thirty patients with an unrestorable molar tooth who needed immediate implant placement were included.

Objective: This study aims to investigate adhesive damage caused by the synergistic effects of polymerization shrinkage and occlusal forces via finite element analysis (FEA), based on damage mechanics with the cohesive zone model (CZM). The objective is to obtain the adhesive damage distribution and investigate how the material properties of resin composite impact adhesive damage.
Methods: A 3D reconstruction model of an mandibular first molar was constructed through CBCT imaging, and a Class V cavity was prepared using computer-aided engineering (CAE) software.
