Membrane engineering is a complex field involving the development of the most suitable membrane process for specific purposes and dealing with the design and operation of membrane technologies. This study analyzed 1424 articles on reverse osmosis (RO) membrane engineering from the Scopus database to provide guidance for future studies. The results show that since the first article was published in 1964, the domain has gained popularity, especially since 2009.

Point-of-care (POC) immunoassays have become convincing alternatives to traditional immunosensing methods for the sensitive and real-time detection of targets. Immunoassays based on gas-generating reactions were recently developed and have been used in various fields due to their advantages, such as rapid measurement, direct reading, simple operation, and low cost. Enzymes or nanoparticles modified with antibodies can effectively catalyze gas-generating reactions and convert immunorecognition events into gas pressure signals, which can be easily recorded by multifunctional portable devices.

Neurovascular complications associated with clavicular shaft fractures can manifest at presentation, develop gradually over time, or potentially be iatrogenically induced. Conducting a thorough neurovascular examination and, when warranted, pursuing further investigation through modalities such as CT angiogram, MRI, and nerve conduction studies (NCS) are crucial for early diagnosis and pre-operative planning. This comprehensive approach enhances patient outcomes by facilitating timely intervention and addressing any underlying neurovascular issues associated with the fracture.

Background: The gold standard for assessing neonatal jaundice (NJ) is the serum total serum bilirubin (TSB) level by the diazo method. A transcutaneous bilirubinometer (TCB) provides a convenient, noninvasive readout within minutes. The reliability of TCB as the diagnostic tool and the proper site for TCB measurement remains unsettled.
