Background: In the early 1940s, before antihypertensive drugs were available, the Rice Diet Programme (RDP) was developed to treat severe hypertension and, later, diabetes and obesity. Despite significant advancements in dietary management for these conditions since then, debates remain regarding the proper guidelines for sodium and macronutrients intakes. The patient care records of RDP offer a unique source of longitudinal examination of a very low sodium (<10 mmol/day), fat, cholesterol and protein diet on blood pressure (BP), other health markers and survival.

Background: The kidney reabsorption is essential for maintaining magnesium homeostasis. This study aims to explore the relationship between kidney reabsorption-related magnesium depletion score (MDS) and the occurrence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and prognosis in diabetic disease kidney (DKD) patients.
Methods: We included 3199 DKD patients from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database, including 1072 CVD patients.

Introduction: Long-term prognosis of non-celiac enteropathies (NCEs) is poorly understood. We aimed to evaluate long-term outcomes and develop a prognostic score for NCEs.
Methods: NCEs patients from an international multicenter cohort (4 Italian centers,1 UK, 1 French,1 Norwegian,1 USA,1 Indian) followed-up over 30 years were enrolled.

Objectives: Advanced HIV disease (AHD) at HIV care enrollment is common in Latin America and may bias cross-sectional care continuum estimates. We therefore explored the impact of AHD on HIV care continuum outcomes using a longitudinal approach.
Methods: We analyzed trajectories of 26,174 adult people with HIV enrolled at Caribbean, Central and South America network for HIV epidemiology (CCASAnet) sites (2003-2019) using multi-state Cox regression across five stages: (i) enrolled without antiretroviral therapy (no-ART); (ii) on ART without viral suppression (viral load ≥200 copies/m; ART + non-VS); (iii) on ART with viral suppression (viral load <200 copies/ml; ART + VS); (iv) lost to follow-up; (v) death.

Purpose: Standardized data collection is needed to improve research for rare diseases. In this manuscript, we describe our experience establishing the Prospective Ocular Tumor Study (POTS).
Methods: The ongoing POTS captures all patients with an ocular tumor seen on the Ocular Oncology Service at Mayo Clinic Rochester and collects patient demographics, tumor features, treatment, and outcomes.
