Three-dimensional preoperative planning, persona-lized cutting guides, and disposable instrumentation kits can now help to optimize this procedure by providing a unique single-use surgical kit per patient. This type of instrumentation leads to improvements in precision, operative time, turnover time, sterilization and maintenance costs, and could help reduce infectious risks.
