Background: Nipple-sparing mastectomy (NSM) has become increasingly popular in recent years. However, the impact of prepectoral versus subpectoral implant reconstruction on nipple position, clinical outcomes, and patient-reported outcomes (PROs) after NSM remains unknown.

Objective: We hypothesized that prepectoral reconstruction would lead to a more anatomic nipple position and improved clinical outcomes and PROs as compared to subpectoral reconstruction following NSM.

Scoliosis in adult Type 1 Chiari malformation with syringomyelia patients: from pathogenesis to treatment.

Department of Orthopaedics, Beilun District People's Hospital, Beilun Branch of The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University Ningbo, Zhejiang, China.

The pathogenesis of type I Chiari malformation (CIM) is complex and remains unclear. The theory of posterior cranial fossa incompatibility has gained widespread acceptance in recent years. In the patients with CIM combined with syringomyelia, scoliosis is a common occurrence, with severe cases often leading to complications that necessitate surgical intervention.

Unlabelled: The increased rate of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears has led to a greater number of revisions. Revision surgery can be performed in one or two stages. Single-stage revision ACL reconstruction (ssRACLR) may be performed when prior tunnels can be re-used or bypassed whereas a two-stage procedure is indicated when bone grafting of dilated tunnels prior to revision is necessary.

Objective: The primary aim of this study was to investigate the accuracy of a semi-automatic algorithm in assessing the feasibility and complexity of endoscopic stapes surgery preoperatively.

Methods: A semi-automatic algorithm was developed to simulate endoscopic stapes surgery in 3D. To test the accuracy of the algorithm, five fresh-frozen cadaveric heads (ten ears) were used.

Background: Vertebral body tethering (VBT) has shown improvements in coronal and sagittal plane correction in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) patients, but axial correction over time remains unexplored. Three-dimensional (3D) spine reconstruction was used to analyse correctional changes in all spinal planes post VBT surgery.

Case Description: AIS subjects who underwent thoracic VBT surgery with a minimum 2-year follow-up were assessed.
