Background: Current practice patterns suggest open rather than minimally invasive (MIS) approaches for thymomas >4 cm. We hypothesized there would be similar perioperative outcomes and overall survival between open and MIS approaches for large (>4 cm) thymoma resection.
Methods: The National Cancer Database was queried for patients who underwent thymectomy from 2010 to 2020.

Objectives: Emerging from earlier case reports the potential benefits of 38 % silver diamine fluoride (SDF) in addressing pathogenic biofilms and mitigating gingival inflammation and enlargement have sparked interest. Our study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of 38 % SDF in reducing gingival inflammation and plaque accumulation in older adults living in retirement-homes.
Methods: This 7-week randomized, controlled, double-blinded pilot trial employed a parallel assignment design.

Background: Prolonged survival of patients with metastatic disease has furthered interest in metastasis-directed therapy (MDT).
Research Question: There is a paucity of data comparing lung MDT modalities. Do outcomes among sublobar resection (SLR), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), and percutaneous ablation (PA) for lung metastases vary in terms of local control and survival?
Study Design And Methods: Medical records of patients undergoing lung MDT at a single cancer center between January 2015 and December 2020 were reviewed.

Malignant solitary fibrous tumours of the pleura (mSFTP) are extremely rare diseases (<5% of all pleural neoplasms) with unpredictable behaviour. Surgery remains the standard of care for these tumours; however, estimating patient prognosis and planning follow-up remain challenging. Several risk stratification models have been proposed, but a classification with diagnostic and prognostic potential has not been well standardised yet.
